The Gardens of Babylon · Ibiza 2026
The Family Guide to Ibiza
Our favourite spots, hidden corners, and things to do between shows. Gathered over the years by the Babylon family, for the Babylon family.
Between Worlds
Brunch Elektronik x The Gardens of Babylon
Four dates at 528 Ibiza this summer. Day into night, open air. Garden Stage and Forest Stage, plus opening ceremony, sound healing, spiritual workshops and the Market of Curiosities.
Where the Sky Goes Gold
Ibiza sunsets are their own religion
Our favourite spots to watch the light change. Each one different, all of them worth it.

Iconic
Es Vedrà
Southwest Coast
One of Ibiza's most iconic natural landmarks. Best reached by car or scooter followed by a short walk to the viewpoint. Watch the sun disappear behind the rocky islet as the whole bay turns amber. One of those views that doesn't need any words.

Something Special
Benirràs Beach
North Coast
Famous for golden sunsets, pine-covered hills, and a relaxed bohemian atmosphere. On some evenings it becomes especially iconic for its spontaneous live drum circles, a ritual that's been happening here for decades. Part sunset, part music, part something harder to name.

Our Favourite
Time and Space
Cala Llentia, Southwest
A monumental art installation known as Ibiza's Stonehenge, inspired by ancient megalithic structures. Perched above one of the most beautiful coves on the island. The perfect place to sit as the light shifts. Arrive with time to find your spot among the stones.

Explore
Formentera
30 to 40 min by ferry from Ibiza Town
A small island easily reached by ferry, known for crystal-clear turquoise waters, white sand beaches, and an untouched atmosphere. Rent a scooter or bike to explore hidden coves and long coastal stretches. A perfect day out, and a genuinely different world from the one you left behind.
Where to Eat Well
Our favourite tables on the island
Ibiza has some extraordinary food if you know where to look... There are many famous places on the island, but we want to share some of the locals' favourites:
Breakfast & Brunch

Fav Brunch & Coffee Spot
Nude Café Ibiza
10 min walk from Dalt Vila
Healthy, simple and homemade food, topped up by a specialty coffee. All dishes are prepared with organic flour, nuts and seeds provided by a local company. The kind of place you end up spending longer than planned, because the coffee is good and the vibe is right.

Family Favourite · Regenerative Farm
Juntos Farm
Santa Gertrudis, Heart of the Island
Where nature, food, and community come together. Dine in the courtyard, explore the farm shop, or join farm tours, family harvests, and field days. The Tasting Room offers true farm-to-table dining: the menu changes daily, shaped entirely by the farm's organic harvest. Perfect for families and children too.
Lunch & Dinner

Hard to Get a Table · Worth Every Effort
El Bigotes
Cala Mastella, East Coast
A legendary little restaurant on the rocks at Cala Mastella. No menu, no website, cash only, same fisherman running it for decades. They serve bullit de peix and arroz a banda: you don't choose what you eat. In summer it's nearly impossible to get a table without a local contact, but if you get in, it's one of the best meals you'll have anywhere.

Fav Restaurant Spot
Nudo
Es Figueral, Northeast Coast
A beachfront restaurant focused on seasonal Mediterranean cooking and natural wines. Working closely with local organic farmers and small-scale fishermen, dishes are simple and produce-driven, inspired by the island and the Mediterranean. One of the most quietly impressive spots on the island.

Out in the Countryside
Lu-um
San Carlos, Rural East
Seriously good food and perfectly crafted cocktails in a beautiful setting out in the San Carlos countryside. One of those restaurants where everything just lands right. Far enough from the tourist trail to feel like a genuine find, and exactly the kind of place the family gravitates toward.

With a View
Sa Punta
Talamanca Bay
An elevated menu on the edge of Talamanca Bay, with one of the most beautiful views on the island: Dalt Vila lit up across the water. The kind of place for a long dinner that starts at golden hour and ends well after dark. Book a table on the terrace and take your time.

If You Love Sushi
Aoyama Sushi
Ibiza Town
A Japanese chef preparing fresh sushi right at the bar, with daily options built around fresh local fish. Small, precise and genuinely good: the kind of sushi you don't expect to find on the island. Tables go fast, so book on time.

Uruguayan Kitchen
San Carlos Bar Restaurante
San Carlos Village
A proper Uruguayan restaurant in the heart of San Carlos village, and one of those places you end up going back to every time. The food is perfection, the staff are genuinely wonderful, and the whole atmosphere just feels right. One of the most loved spots on the east side of the island.
Things to Do
The island rewards the curious
Beyond the beach and the music there's a whole other Ibiza to discover.

The Silent Side
Freediving Ibiza
By Anna Thüring
When the music stops, Ibiza has another side. Freediving Ibiza offers immersive breath-hold sessions in the island's crystal-clear waters: a chance to turn off the noise and dive deeper than you thought possible. Sessions unfold like a moving meditation, through relaxation, presence and flow. All levels welcome, including complete beginners.

Holistic Biohiking
Ibiza Hike Station
Island-wide, by Manuel Ehrensperger
Transformative hikes that reveal a quieter, wilder side of Ibiza. Ancient farmers' and fishermen's trails, combining movement, conscious breathing, moments of silence, and immersion in nature through the BioHiking method. Disconnect from stress, reconnect with yourself, and discover hidden landscapes beyond the island's usual image.

On the Water
Rent a Boat
Various Marinas
Ibiza by boat is a completely different island. Hidden coves you can only reach from the water, anchor spots off empty beaches, the freedom to go wherever the morning takes you. Anna from Freediving Ibiza has arranged preferential boat charter pricing for the Babylon family: reach out for the boats and prices, and tell them you're with The Gardens of Babylon.

Day Trip
Formentera by Boat or Ferry
30 to 40 min from Ibiza
Crystal-clear turquoise waters, white sand beaches, and an untouched atmosphere. Rent a scooter or bike on arrival to explore the hidden coves and long coastal stretches. Best done as a full day: leave early, come back late. One of the most beautiful places in the Mediterranean.
A Few Other Favourites
Markets, browsing and a place to work

Shopping
The Velvet Caravane
Ibiza
A boutique with the kind of edit that takes genuine taste. Curated vintage clothing, accessories and beautiful things that feel right for the island. One of our favourite places to browse when you're not in a hurry: the kind of shop where you find something you didn't know you needed.

Creative Workspace
theHUB Ibiza
Centre of the Island
A tropical garden at the centre of the island. What makes theHUB work is the community inside it: global leaders and emerging talent, designed with intent. Coworking, three music studios, private offices, meeting rooms, hospitality and events. A proper creative workspace for when the beach can wait a few hours.

Flea Market · Every Saturday
Mercadillo de Sant Jordi
Sant Jordi de ses Salines
One of Ibiza's oldest and most loved flea markets, every Saturday morning in the village of Sant Jordi. Vintage clothing, handmade jewellery, antiques and local crafts spread across a dusty outdoor market that feels unchanged by time. The kind of place you wander for an hour and leave with something you'll keep for years. Go early, take cash.

Hippy Market
Las Dalias
Sant Carles de Peralta
One of Ibiza's most iconic markets, set in the gardens of the legendary Las Dalias. Over a hundred stalls of handmade jewellery, bohemian fashion, ceramics and one-of-a-kind finds: the atmosphere is as much the point as the shopping. Saturdays from 10:00 to 20:00, night market Sundays to Tuesdays from 19:00 to 23:30.
Good to Know
The practical side of the island
Getting Around
Rent a car early, they disappear in high summer. The best spots are hard to reach without wheels. Taxis in town are easy; everywhere else, plan ahead.
Book Ahead
El Bigotes, Juntos Farm, Formentera ferries, boat charters: book as early as possible. Leaving it to the day rarely works in summer.
The North
North Ibiza (San Carlos, Benirràs, Santa Gertrudis) feels like a completely different island to the south. More rural, quieter, more local.
Cash
Some of the best places, El Bigotes included, are cash only. Have euros on you. Use ATMs from banks only: the blue and yellow tourist ATMs charge very high fees.
Sunset Timing
In midsummer, sunset is around 21:15. For Es Vedrà and Time and Space, arrive by 20:30 to find your spot. Benirràs drum circles typically gather from 20:00.
Island Rhythm
Ibiza moves slowly in the mornings and accelerates toward evening. Lean into it. The best days here start with a slow breakfast and tend to end very late.
Enjoy the island
